Kozarev Receives Ambassador of Mexico on Farewell Call

Reaffirming the traditional friendship and close ties between the two peoples, both sides expressed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Discussing prospects for the further development of relations between Serbia and Mexico, the interlocutors reflected on the numerous activities held in Belgrade and Mexico City to mark eight decades of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which provided an opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to further strengthening cooperation. Kozarev also noted that a project had been launched to prepare a scholarly historical publication on 80 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, in cooperation with Mexico’s diplomatic academy, the Matías Romero Institute.

Ambassador Félix Corona congratulated Serbia on hosting the Non-Aligned Movement conference, highlighting the importance of multilateralism in the contemporary geopolitical context.

Kozarev thanked Ambassador Félix Corona for his dedication and personal contribution to the further advancement of Serbian-Mexican relations, expressing in particular Serbia’s profound gratitude to Mexico for its support for the inviolability of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Expressing his confidence that the friendly relations between Serbia and Mexico will continue to develop in the years ahead, Kozarev congratulated the Ambassador on 45 years of diplomatic service and wished him every success and all the best in his professional and personal life.
